Week 15 Start 'Em, Sit 'Em Fantasy Football Lineup Advice for Sunday

Kristopher KnoxDec 11, 2025

The NFL kicked off Week 15 with a fun matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Atlanta Falcons that carried serious fantasy implications. Mike Evans made his return for Tampa, while Kyle Pitts had the breakout performance a lot of fans have been waiting to see.

Both developments couldn't have come at a better time, as the fantasy playoffs have begun in most season-long leagues.

Who else can managers trust this week? Here, you'll find a look at some of the best and worst matchups of Sunday's slate, along with some start/sit advice for point-per-reception (PPR) leagues.

Quarterback

1 of 4
Giants Patriots Football
Giants QB Jaxson Dart

Start: Jaxson Dart, New York Giants

New York Giants rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart was trending as a strong fantasy starter because of his scrambling ability. However, head coach Brian Daboll was fired, a concussion kept Dart out of the lineup for two weeks, and the rookie wasn't as effective when he returned under interim coach Mike McCoy.

Still, Dart had a respectable 13.6 fantasy points in Week 13 before hitting his bye last week. He should be closer to his season average of 17.7 fantasy points this week against the Washington Commanders.

The Commanders have surrendered the 20.2 fantasy points, on average, to opposing wide receivers.

Sit: Jacoby Brissett, Arizona Cardinals

While Jacoby Brissett hasn't exactly made Arizona Cardinals fans forget that Kyler Murray exists, he's been a fine replacement in fantasy. Brissett has topped 18 fantasy points in each of his last eight games.

However, Brissett has drawn the worst QB matchup of Week 15—a road game against the Houston Texans.

The Texans have surrendered fewer fantasy points to opposing QBs than any other team this season. Last week, they limited the vaunted Patrick Mahomes to just 9.3 fantasy points in Arrowhead.

Running Back

2 of 4
Chargers Jaguars Football
Jaguars RB Travis Etienne Jr.

Start: Travis Etienne Jr., Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars took hold of the AFC South last week during a 36-19 romp over the Indianapolis Colts. While Trevor Lawrence got his fair share of credit for the win, Travis Etienne Jr. led the Jags on the ground.

Etienne finished Week 14 with 21.2 fantasy points, bouncing back from a dismal 5.1-point outing in Week 13. He's now topped 19 points in three of his last four games and could do it again against the New York Jets.

The Jets have surrendered the third-most fantasy points to opposing RBs this season.

Sit: Breece Hall, New York Jets

Managers should sit the starting running back on the other side of this matchup. Breece Hall has been a fantasy play at times, but he's extremely risky with Tyrod Taylor and Justin Fields both injured.

Undrafted rookie Brady Cook finished Week 14 at quarterback, and Hall was limited to only 4.3 fantasy points. It could be another slog for Hall this week, as the Jaguars have surrendered the fifth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs.

Wide Receiver

3 of 4
Commanders Vikings Football
Vikings WR Justin Jefferson

Start: Justin Jefferson, Minnesota Vikings

Ironically, Minnesota Vikings quarterback J.J. McCarthy had one of his best games of the season in Week 14 while barely involving No. 1 receiver Justin Jefferson.

Jefferson had just 3.1 fantasy points in Week 14 and hasn't reached double-digit points since Week 11. Trusting him to rebound—and trusting McCarthy to have two straight "good" games, for that matter—feels dicey.

However, the Vikings will likely spend most of Sunday's game playing from behind against a suspect Dallas Cowboys secondary. No team has surrendered more fantasy points to opposing WRs than Dallas.

Sit: D.J. Moore, Chicago Bears

Chicago Bears wide receiver D.J. Moore also had a disappointing Week 14, finishing with just three targets, one catch, and minus-four yards. Moore has not fallen short of double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games.

Managers shouldn't expect Moore to bounce back in Week 15.

The Bears will host the Cleveland Browns, and they're likely to attack Cleveland's defense on the ground. Even if Caleb Williams sees a fair amount of dropbacks, it could be a rough outing for Moore. Cleveland has surrendered the seventh-fewest fantasy points to WRs.

Tight End

Texans Chiefs Football
Texans TE Dalton Schultz

Start: Dalton Schultz, Houston Texans

Though their defense has been the best in the business, the Texans have had their fair share of offensive struggles this season. Expect them to lean on veteran tight end Dalton Schultz early and often against Arizona on Sunday.

Schultz has been a huge part of Houston's game plan this season, ranking behind only Nico Collins in targets. He's reached double-digit fantasy points in four of his last five games and should hit that mark again this week.

The Cardinals have surrendered an average of 11.6 fantasy points to opposing TEs.

Sit: Hunter Henry, New England Patriots

The New England Patriots are coming out of their bye and have a chance to lock up the AFC East against the Buffalo Bills.

The Patriots have had two weeks to prepare for arguably their most important game of the season to date. Don't be surprised if the plan doesn't involve a ton of tight end Hunter Henry.

Buffalo's defense has been most vulnerable to the run, and it's been solid against opposing tight ends. The Bills have surrendered an average of just 5.9 fantasy points to the position this season.
