Week 15 Waiver-Wire Pickups and Sleepers Available in Majority of Fantasy Leagues

Week 15 got underway on Thursday night, which means that, in most season-long leagues, the fantasy playoffs have begun.

Managers still alive should benefit from having all 32 teams in action this week. However, injuries will keep several top stars away from the field—the Indianapolis Colts, for example, recently placed Daniel Jones on injured reserve with a torn Achilles.

Some managers will inevitably scramble to add players off the waiver wire for the remaining Week 15 schedule. Here, you'll find some top waiver targets who may still be available in point-per-reception (PPR) leagues.

Marcus Mariota, QB, Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders have already ruled out quarterback Jayden Daniels, who aggravated his elbow injury in Week 14. That means that Marcus Mariota will receive another start.

This will mark Mariota's seventh start of the 2025 season.

While Mariota delivered negative fantasy points in relief duty last week, he topped 16 fantasy points in three straight games before that. Mariota also has a favorable matchup against a New York Giants defense that has surrendered an average of 21.2 fantasy points.

Mariota is still available in over 80 percent of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.

Jaylen Wright, RB, Miami Dolphins

Miami Dolphins running back De'Von Achane suffered a rib injury in Week 14 and did not return for the second half. In his stead, Jaylen Wright ripped off 107 yards and a touchdown on 24 carries.

The Dolphins will play Achane if he's healthy this week, but he's been limited in practices and may not see a full workload. After Wright's impressive fill-in performance last week, Miami might be wise to give him some plays off.

Wright is worth at least a stash this week, and he's worth a flier in deeper leagues against the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Pittsburgh has surrendered an average of just 18 fantasy points to opposing backfields this season, but Wright's breakaway ability and PPR floor are worth betting on. Wright is available in over 70 percent of Yahoo leagues and 80 percent of ESPN leagues.

Darius Slayton, WR, New York Giants

Mariota isn't the only viable waiver option who could shine in the Commanders-Giants matchup. New York receiver Darius Slayton has had three games with double-digit fantasy points in his last four, and he's coming off a 14.1-point performance.

While Slayton missed Week 11 with a hamstring injury, he's been one of New York's more prolific targets since Malik Nabers suffered a season-ending ACL tear. He ranks third on the team behind Wan'Dale Robinson and Theo Johnson in targets.

Slayton is still available in over 60 percent of Yahoo leagues and 70 percent of ESPN leagues.

The Commanders' defense has been vulnerable to opposing receivers this season, surrendering an average of 29.3 fantasy points to opposing WR groups.

Colston Loveland, TE, Chicago Bears

It's worth checking on Theo Johnson, who is still available in over 50 percent of ESPN and Yahoo leagues. However, he's been limited in practice with a toe injury.

Chicago Bears tight end Colston Loveland is a viable alternative, even with a tough matchup against a good Cleveland Browns defense. While Cleveland has been tough on opposing quarterbacks, it's been more middle-of-the-pack against tight ends, surrendering an average of 10.3 fantasy points to the position.

In two of his last three games, Loveland has reached 12 fantasy points.

Loveland could also see an expanded role this week, depending on the status of wideout Rome Odunze (foot). The rookie is still available in over half of Yahoo and ESPN leagues.
