Taylor Swift Concert Rescheduled Due to Potential Astros Postseason Game

We all laughed when they announced it.

I, along with every other living citizen of the world—all of us—took a good five minutes to chuckle when the Houston Astros tweeted in December that they might have to reschedule a Taylor Swift concert slated for Minute Maid Park if the team found itself playing in October in 2015.

It was just...too buoyant. Too pure.

Coming from the same club that won 70 games in 2014 and whose televised broadcasts were pulling in 0.00 Nielsen ratings in 2013, it seemed like the most heartbreaking kind of optimism—like the Jaguars sending season-ticket holders a "Save the Date" card for the 2016 Super Bowl.

But 2015 is a new day in Houston, and the Astros are sitting in second place in the American League West with more than two months of regular-season ball to play. The Astros are certifiably positioned for the postseason—and by God, they're moving that Taylor Swift concert!

The team announced Monday that Swift's The 1989 World Tour has been bumped up a month to take place September 9:
