Shedeur Sanders Says He Hears Dad Deion's Voice in His Head During Browns Games
Deion Sanders is no longer coaching his son, Shedeur, now that the younger Sanders is in the NFL, but the Colorado coach is still in the Cleveland Browns quarterback's head.
Shedeur Sanders told reporters Wednesday he frequently hears his father's voice while he is playing in games.
Nobody has likely had more of an impact on Shedeur's football life than his father, who was a Hall of Fame player himself and then coached his son with the Buffaloes. Deion also shared an embrace with his son ahead of Shedeur's first NFL start:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
"Love you. You know I had to be here," Deion Sanders said when revealing what he told his son (23:30 mark). "Relax. Be you. God has given you everything that you need to be successful. Allow those abilities to come forth. Don't try to force nothing. Don't try to do nothing that you're not capable of doing."
It is clear Shedeur is still hearing his father's advice, and the result has been notable improvement on the field.
While the rookie looked overwhelmed at times during his first live action in a November loss to the Baltimore Ravens as he went 4-of-16 for 47 yards, zero touchdowns and one interception, he has been much better of late with more experience and practice time.
In fact, he went 23-of-42 for 364 yards, three touchdowns and one interception while adding 29 yards and a score on the ground as a runner in Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans.
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski named Sanders the starting quarterback for the rest of the season, which means the rookie will have more opportunities to prove to the front office that he is the signal-caller of the future for the organization.
If he continues to show the improvement he has while listening to his father's advice, he could end up doing just that.
