Jim Harbaugh's New Viral Quote, Ranking OT Win with Birth of 7 Children and Marriage
Jim Harbaugh is always prone to a little hyperbole when he speaks in public, but his reaction to the Los Angeles Chargers' 22-19 overtime win against the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday might be his masterpiece.
Speaking to reporters afterward (starts at 1:55 mark), Harbaugh said he would put this game "into the discussion" of the best moments of his life, including "the birth of my seven children" and "my marriage."

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Harbaugh's career as a head coach between the NFL and college football includes coaching in the Super Bowl against his brother and leading Michigan to its first national title in 26 years during the 2023 season.
Neither of those moments apparently compare to Chargers escaping Week 14 with a win over the Eagles, or at least they weren't on top of his mind when he was going through the rankings of key moments from his life.
To be fair, Monday's win was big for the Chargers in their quest to make the playoffs. ESPN's model prior to the start of the game showed their odds of clinching a postseason berth increased to 72 percent with a victory over the Eagles.
If the Chargers go on to win the Super Bowl this year, it could reasonably be argued that this game was a catalyst to getting them there.
Just looking at the game in isolation, though, it's a weird one for any person to celebrate at the level Harbaugh's comments suggest.
The Chargers only gained 275 yards and committed three turnovers. It was their third consecutive game with fewer than 150 net passing yards. Justin Herbert was under siege all night and was sacked seven times behind a leaky offensive line.
Harbaugh might be accounting for all of that and praising the resolve of his team. He could also just be exaggerating in ways that perfectly fit who has been. The 61-year-old once congratulated Judge Judy for signing a contract extension to keep her show on the air.
Whatever it is about Harbaugh, his methods always seem to work no matter where he is. He has 19 winning seasons in 22 years as a head coach between the NFL and college.
Monday's victory over the Eagles gave the Chargers nine wins this season, ensuring they will finish with a winning record for a second straight year. If they make the playoffs, it will mark their first time doing so in back-to-back seasons since 2006 to '09.
