Justin Herbert Praised as 'Superhero' By Chargers' Harbaugh After Win vs. Eagles
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Jim Harbaugh celebrated a gutsy performance by quarterback Justin Herbert following the team's 22-19 overtime win over the Philadelphia Eagles on Monday night.
Speaking to reporters after the game, Harbaugh called Herbert a "superhero" for playing through a hand injury, adding, "It felt like we were in a movie. It's like you get to the point where you go, 'OK, this is getting a little unrealistic.'"
Herbert fractured his non-throwing hand during last week's win over the Las Vegas Raiders and subsequently underwent surgery. While Herbert was listed as questionable throughout the week, Herbert told reporters he always knew he was going to play.

Harbaugh called Herbert's performance "inspiring," before adding, "I wish I could just throw my body on the line. I wish I could take those hits for 'em."
Playing with a heavily padded glove on his left hand, Herbert couldn't get much going through the air, going 12-of-26 for 139 yards with one touchdown and one interception.
The injury likely didn't help, but the biggest reason why the offense was out of sync can be attributed to the fact that Herbert was constantly under siege behind a makeshift offensive line, getting sacked seven times.
Herbert got himself out of trouble by scrambling on several occasions, though, and he led the team with 66 rushing yards, oftentimes putting his body on the line despite the injury.
While it was ugly for much of the game, the Chargers prevailed largely thanks to their defense forcing Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts to turn the ball over five times, including a game-ending interception in overtime.
With the win, the Chargers improved to 9-4 in the season and moved into the No. 5 playoff seed in the AFC.
That is key since the Bolts have the Kansas City Chiefs, Dallas Cowboys, Houston Texans and Denver Broncos remaining on their schedule, all of whom are in the playoff hunt.
