Jalen Hurts Says Eagles' Loss 'Definitely Stings' After 5 Turnovers vs. Chargers
Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts chose to look ahead following his team's 22-19 loss to the Los Angeles Chargers in overtime on Monday night.
Hurts, who threw four interceptions and lost a fumble during the game, told reporters that while the individual and team performances were tough pills to follow, he is focused on seeing how the Eagles bounce back:

NFL coach calls CFB transfer players 'clowns'
"It definitely stings," Hurts said. "But how do you respond? That's the only way I know how to look at it. You're going to see what type of resolve does this team have ... what's in us to respond the way we want to. We've just got to dig."
Monday's loss marked the Eagles' third in a row, dropping them to 8-5 on the year. They trail the Los Angeles Rams by two games for the No. 1 seed in the NFC, and their lead over the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East sits at just 1.5 games.
As has often been the case during their recent skid, the Eagles' offense struggled to move the ball consistently on Monday.
They converted just four of their 13 third-down attempts, possessed the ball for just 29:26 compared to 38:05 for L.A., and committed five turnovers as a team.
Two of those turnovers occurred on the same play when Hurts was intercepted by Chargers defensive lineman Da'Shawn Hand, who fumbled it back to Hurts, only for Hurts to fumble as well.
Per the Elias Sports Bureau (h/t ESPN's Tim McManus), Hurts became the first player to commit two turnovers on the same play since at least 1978.
Even more devastating was Hurts' game-ending interception in overtime while the Eagles were driving for the tying or winning score.
Philly was already well within field goal range when a Hurts pass was tipped and then intercepted by Chargers safety Tony Jefferson at the 1-yard line to seal the game.
Aside from a Week 17 meeting with the 9-4 Buffalo Bills, the Eagles have an easy schedule to finish the regular season with one game against the 2-11 Las Vegas Raiders and two against the 3-10 Washington Commanders.
Still, Hurts, the offense and the team as a whole will have to raise their level of play, or else they risk the division title and potentially even a playoff spot slipping out of their grasp.
