What is Trey Hendrickson's Recovery Timeline After Surgery on Core Injury Ahead of FA?
Veteran defensive end Trey Hendrickson may have played his last game in a Cincinnati Bengals jersey.
The Bengals announced Thursday that Hendrickson has been placed on injured reserve with a hip/pelvis injury that required surgery.
Hendrickson initially suffered the injury in Week 6 against the Green Bay Packers but pushed to return to action two weeks later against the New York Jets. He exited that game early after re-aggravating the injury, and he hasn't played since.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Hendrickson endured a contentious offseason that saw him hold out for the majority of training camp over his desire for a new contract. He eventually agreed to a restructured deal for the 2025 season with the intention of testing free agency at the end of the year. The Bengals still have the right to use their franchise tag on Hendrickson for a second time if they fail to agree to a long-term deal.
The Bengals have not yet been eliminated from playoff contention, but at 4-9, their postseason hopes are hanging by a thread.
Cincinnati had built some momentum with a win over the AFC North rival Baltimore Ravens on Thanksgiving Day, but it all fell apart in Sunday's 39-34 loss to the Buffalo Bills after the team surrendered a 10-point lead in the fourth quarter.
