Waiver Wire: J.J. McCarthy, QB, Minnesota Vikings

There has been plenty of reason to avoid the former Michigan Wolverine but McCarthy again flashed his potential Sunday against Washington in a game in which he completed 16 of 23 passes for 163 yards and three touchdowns.
He added 19 yards and finished as the 10th-ranked player at his position in fantasy football.
That potentially momentum-building showing, coupled with favorable match-ups against the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys, and Detroit Lions, should be enough to make him a worthy fantasy starter for managers who need help at the quarterback position.
The 2024 first-round pick is available in over 70 percent of ESPN and Yahoo leagues respectively.
Devin Neal, RB, New Orleans Saints

With Alvin Kamara missing two consecutive games and the Saints' season devoid of meaningful games at this point, it is possible the star running back will not return to the starting lineup this year.
That should open up opportunities for Devin Neal, who carried 19 times for 70 yards and a touchdown in the Saints' upset win over Tampa Bay. That was good enough for him to be the 14th-best back in PPR leagues through Sunday's action.
He is by no means a legitimate starter at this point but as the playoffs near, managers in deeper leagues should consider grabbing and stashing him, especially with favorable match-ups against Carolina and the Jets upcoming.
