NFL Playoff Bracket Picture 2025-26 and AFC, NFC Standings After Week 14 SNF

Erik BeastonDec 7, 2025

Only nine teams are eliminated from playoff contention following the early slate of Week 14 games, suggesting that parity is as high as ever in today's NFL.

With competition for top spots, byes, and home playoff games heating up, and teams desperate to stay ahead of their division foes in hopes of playing for the Lombardi Trophy in February, nearly every game took on greater meaning.

Which teams are sitting firmly in playoff contention following Sunday's action and who are the squads clinging to their postseason lives?

Find out with this look at the updated bracket following Week 14.

AFC Playoff Picture

Division Leaders

1. New England Patriots (11-2, AFC East; +950 odds to make the Super Bowl)

2. Denver Broncos (11-2, AFC West; +950)

3. Jacksonville Jaguars (9-4, AFC South; +1800)

4. Pittsburgh Steelers (7-6, AFC North; +8000)

The Pittsburgh Steelers scored a huge victory in their pursuit of the AFC North crown Sunday, fending off the rival Baltimore Ravens for a 27-22 victory. They were helped exponentially in the early slate when Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills scored 21 points in the fourth quarter in a furious comeback win over the Cincinnati Bengals that will make it nearly impossible for Joe Burrow and crew to make the postseason.

Wild Card Race

5. Buffalo Bills (9-4; +900)

6. Los Angeles Chargers (8-4; +3500)

7. Houston Texans (8-5; +1300)

The Houston Texans may be the most intriguing team of the bunch, thanks to five straight victories and one of the best defenses in the league. A win over Kansas City Sunday night at Arrowhead puts the Texans in a position to challenge Jacksonville and Indianapolis for the division with four games to go.

In the Hunt

8. Indianapolis Colts (8-5; +13000)

9. Baltimore Ravens (6-7; +4000)

10. Kansas City Chiefs (6-7; +5000)

11. Miami Dolphins (6-7; +100000)

12. Cincinnati Bengals (4-9; +18000)

What once seemed like a dream season for Sean Steichen and the Colts more closely resembles a nightmare after Sunday's 36-19 loss to division rival Jacksonville, in which quarterback Daniel Jones suffered an Achilles injury and missed the majority of the game. Three straight losses, questions the most important position on the field, and a season-ending stretch against four playoff-hopeful teams does not help.

Eliminated

13. New York Jets (3-10)

14. Cleveland Browns (3-10)

15. Las Vegas Raiders (2-10)

16. Tennessee Titans (2-11)

NFC Playoff Picture

Seahawks Falcons Football

Division Leaders

1. Los Angeles Rams (10-3, NFC West; +390 odds to make the Super Bowl)

2. Green Bay Packers (9-3-1, NFC North; +800)

3. Philadelphia Eagles (8-4, NFC East; +1000)

4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (7-6, NFC South; +6000)

At their best, the Rams look like the favorite to win the Super Bowl, thanks to the elite play of quarterback Matthew Stafford, the best receiver room in the game, and a defense that bends but has been stingy when it comes to allowing points. They blew out the Arizona Cardinals, winning a game they were expected to and doing so big, as a Super Bowl contender should at this time of year.

Wildcard Race

5. Seattle Seahawks (10-3; +650)

6. San Francisco 49ers (9-4; +2200)

7. Chicago Bears (9-4; +4500)

The Seahawks beat up the Atlanta Falcons Sunday, winning 37-9 and looking every bit a legitimate Super Bowl contender. A complete team that can throw, run, play defense, and will add a special teams score for good measure, they figure to be one of the toughest outs in this year's playoffs, regardless of whether they win the division or head on the road in the Wildcard.

In the Hunt

8. Detroit Lions (8-5; +2200)

9. Carolina Panthers (7-6; +18000)

10. Dallas Cowboys (5-6-1; +18000)

11. Minnesota Vikings (5-8; +100000)

The Panthers got considerable help from their division foes, the New Orleans Saints, Sunday when the underdog team upset the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Bucs' loss keeps the Panthers within one game of the NFC South lead and a shot at a home playoff game, something few would have imagined considering how bad the team has looked when playing at its worst this season. A win over the seemingly unstoppable Los Angeles Rams last week did not hurt, either.

Eliminated

12. Atlanta Falcons (4-9)

13. Arizona Cardinals (3-10)

14. New Orleans Saints (3-10)

15. Washington Commanders (3-10)

16. New York Giants (2-11)
