Shedeur Sanders Joins Historic NFL Club Despite Browns' Loss to Cam Ward, Titans

Andrew PetersDec 7, 2025

Shedeur Sanders joined a historic club during his third NFL start on Sunday.

The Cleveland Browns quarterback became the seventh rookie in the Super Bowl era to throw for 360-plus yards and four total touchdowns in the same game. He was the first rookie to do so since CJ Stroud in 2023.

Despite falling short against the Tennessee Titans, Sanders had a strong game, throwing for 364 yards and three touchdowns along with 29 rushing yards and a score on the ground. He had an interception in the third quarter that ended up being costly, but that was the only major blip in an otherwise productive day.

Sanders saw his first NFL action a few weeks ago against the Baltimore Ravens and struggled, but was the starter the following week since Dillon Gabriel was dealing with a concussion.

After playing well in his first start, he earned the QB1 job and has since remained steady. Sunday was the best game of his career by far, and he'll look to build off that momentum moving forward.
