Lamar Jackson Criticized by Fans as Ravens Lose to Steelers in Key AFC North Battle

Joe TanseyDec 7, 2025

Lamar Jackson and the Baltimore Ravens fell below .500 with their second straight AFC North loss on Sunday.

Jackson and Co. fell 27-22 to the Pittsburgh Steelers. The result gave the Steelers a one-game lead in the AFC North and put the Ravens into 10th place in the AFC.

Jackson drew criticism for his performance throughout the game, but the most scrutiny came on the final play of the game, when he should have thrown the ball away instead of taking a sack.

The Ravens played from behind for most of the game. They went down 7-3 in the first quarter and trailed by as much as 14 points.

Jackson ran for a touchdown and produced a score through the air, but he struggled for the most part, as he went 19-for-35 against the Pittsburgh defense.

The Ravens could've gone ahead on a touchdown catch by Isaiah Likely late in the fourth quarter, but the officials ruled the play to be an incomplete pass.

Baltimore got the ball back and pushed into Pittsburgh territory, but Jackson couldn't produce another touchdown pass to win the game.

The Ravens have four more battles ahead of them to end the regular season. They face the Cincinnati Bengals for the second time in three weeks in Week 15. They finish with the New England Patriots, Green Bay Packers and the Steelers.

There's a chance the Ravens don't even sniff the AFC wild-card race since they are two games back of the Indianapolis Colts and have to fight to win the division to get into the postseason.
