NFL MVP Race 2025-26 Predictions After Updated Odds Entering Week 14
The two NFL MVP favorites could not have had more opposite Week 13 performances.
Drake Maye and the New England Patriots steamrolled the New York Giants on Monday night to move to 11-2 ahead of their Week 14 bye.
Matthew Stafford had a rare turnover-filled performance in the Los Angeles Rams' surprising loss to the Carolina Panthers.
Maye is still just a slight favorite over Stafford, but the Week 13 swing could help him in the long run.
Drake Maye (-135)

Drake Maye is the NFL MVP favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook after Week 13.
The second-year quarterback has had a near flawless season for the AFC-leading Patriots.
Maye leads the NFL in passing yards, is fourth in touchdown passes and has only thrown six touchdowns.
In addition to the strong stats, Maye and the Patriots have not lost since Week 3.
The Patriots' surge back to the top of the AFC East is one of the biggest stories of the 2025 season. If they keep going and land the AFC's No. 1 seed, it's hard to imagine Maye won't win the award.
Matthew Stafford ( 120)

Matthew Stafford was picked off twice and a lost a fumble in an uncharacteristic performance against the Panthers.
The Rams quarterback is still the league leader in touchdown passes, but the optics of how Week 13 played out for him and Maye could have a significant impact on the MVP race.
Maye hasn't made many mistakes during the Patriots' lengthy winning streak. Stafford had the same run of performances until he ran into the Panthers defense.
Stafford will likely recover from the turnover-filled outing in Week 14 against the Arizona Cardinals.
However, if the MVP race comes down to parsing through individual games, the loss to the Panthers might cost Stafford.
Prediction

Maye has the inside track to the award over Stafford.
No other player has a legitimate case to win MVP going into Week 14 because the two quarterbacks have separated themselves from the pack so much.
If New England continues its winning streak after the Week 14 bye, more support for Maye's MVP case will come.
New England plays the Buffalo Bills and Baltimore Ravens in Weeks 15 and 16. If Maye wins both of those games for the Pats, he might have the MVP locked up before the No. 1 seed.
Prediction: 1. Drake Maye, 2. Matthew Stafford
