Mike Vrabel Reacts to Jaxson Dart Hit, Warns QBs Not to 'Get Too Cute' by Sideline
Drake Maye was on the sidelines when a scuffle broke out during Monday's game between the New England Patriots and New York Giants after a hard hit on Jaxson Dart, but Mike Vrabel still saw it as a teaching moment.
"It's a weekly reminder to the quarterback—our quarterback… I wouldn't get too cute over there by the sidelines," the Patriots head coach told reporters when discussing the hard hit from linebacker Christian Elliss.

Elliss also had quite the message:
While it was a legal hit, New York took issue with it.
Giants tight end Theo Johnson kickstarted the scuffle and was assessed a personal foul, while Elliss was not flagged since Dart was still in bounds when the hit occurred.
New York didn't show much fight in the game after that play, as the Patriots seized a commanding 30-7 halftime lead and didn't look back while putting things on relative cruise control during a second half that was nothing more than a formality.
New England has been one of the best stories in the league this season and has now won 10 games in a row following a 1-2 start. Its 11-2 record is the best mark in the NFL and well ahead of the 8-4 Buffalo Bills in the AFC East race.
The Patriots now enter their bye week before a showdown with those Bills that could help them put away the division for good and take another step closer to the No. 1 seed and the first-round bye that comes with it.
The 2-11 Giants weren't much of a challenge in Monday's contest, but Vrabel knows there are bigger tests to come.
Given that backdrop, he highlighted some lessons for Maye from the scuffle.
