Derek Stingley Jr. Hyped by Former Texans OL After Colts Win, 'In a League of His Own'

Doric SamDec 1, 2025

Houston Texans cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. put forth an immaculate performance in Sunday's 20-16 win over the Indianapolis Colts, not allowing a single reception.

Stingley's impressive outing drew some praise from a former teammate, as former Texans offensive lineman Scott Quessenberry took to social media to declare that the 24-year-old is "in a league of his own."

Stingley played 28 coverage snaps against the Colts and didn't record a single tackle because the ball never came his way. The win improved the Texans' record to 7-5, one game out of first place in the AFC South.

Stingley is coming off his first career Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro selections in 2024, and he's picked up right where he left off this year. Through 12 games, he has 25 tackles, 11 passes defended and three interceptions.

Quessenberry, who played in Houston from 2022 to 2024, certainly isn't the only one who feels that Stingley is emerging as the best cornerback in the NFL.

The Texans will be going for their fifth straight win when they meet the Kansas City Chiefs (6-6) on Sunday Night Football in Week 14.
