Daniel Jones Explains Playing Through Fractured Leg Injury for Colts vs. Texans
Indianapolis Colts quarterback Daniel Jones reportedly has a fractured fibula but was still on the field for Sunday's matchup against the Houston Texans.
After the 20-16 loss, Jones explained his decision to play through the pain.
"I feel good enough to play," Jones told reporters. "Doctors cleared me to play, so that's what I'm going to do."

While it wasn't a bad game for Jones, he was far from the best version of himself. He threw for 201 yards on 14-of-27 passing with two touchdowns, adding just one carry for one yard.
ESPN's Stephen Holder noted that Jones completed just two of his 11 passes while under pressure during the game, indicating a possible lack of mobility from him.
Had Jones decided to sit out Sunday's game, the Colts would have had to turn to rookie quarterback Riley Leonard under center since Anthony Richardson is on the injured reserve with a facial fracture. Leonard, a sixth-round pick, has appeared in just two games this season.
Indianapolis looked like one of the NFL's best teams when it started the season 7-1, but it has since dropped three of its last four. While the Colts are still in control in the AFC South, they'll need Jones at his best come playoff time.
