Sam Darnold Wins Revenge Game for Seahawks vs. Vikings as Fans Troll Max Brosmer
Sam Darnold and the Seattle Seahawks shut out the Minnesota Vikings 26-0 in his revenge game at home.
Darnold threw for 128 yards, completing 14-of-26 passes, while Zach Charbonnet ran in the Seahawks' lone score.
Vikings' backup Max Brosmer struggled, throwing for 126 yards with four interceptions as injured J.J. McCarthy remained sidelined in concussion protocol.
With Darnold's victory over his former team, the now 4-8 Vikings sit at the bottom of the NFC North as fans roasted the Minnesota squad.
Darnold spent one season with the Vikings on a one-year, $10 million contract, appearing in all 17 games and throwing for 4,319 yards on a 66.2 completion rate with 35 touchdowns and 12 interceptions for a Minnesota team that finished 14-3 with a Wild Card appearance.
The 28-year-old left in free agency, inking a three-year, $100.5 million deal with Seattle, which is battling the Los Angeles Rams for the top spot in the NFC West at 9-3.
"It's just another game," Darnold told reporters ahead of Sunday's matchup, per Fox Sports. "I fully understand the decision behind it. They clearly don't see me as their guy, and I was able to move on pretty fast from that."
Darnold and the Vikings are back at it next Sunday, on the road against Atlanta.
