In his starting debut with the Browns on Nov. 23, Sanders led the team to a 24-10 win over the Las Vegas Raiders, throwing for 209 yards on 11-of-20 completions with one touchdown and one interception — an encouraging first look for Browns fans.
After his struggles on Sunday, social media reacted to Sanders' second start following that impressive debut.
Cleveland scored in the second quarter but was held out of the end zone the entire second half, committing a fumble and two turnovers on downs. The offense struggled throughout the day, converting just 3-of-11 third downs and going 0-for-4 on fourth down attempts.
Meanwhile, San Francisco's Brock Purdy finished with 168 yards and two touchdowns—one passing and one rushing—while Christian McCaffrey added 53 rushing yards and a score. San Francisco improved to 9-4 as it continues to push for the top seed in a crowded NFC West.
Cleveland and Sanders will host the Tennessee Titans next Sunday.
