Saquon Barkley, A.J. Brown Discuss Issues with Eagles Offense After 2nd Straight Loss
The Philadelphia Eagles' offense sputtered again in a 24-15 home loss to the Chicago Bears on Friday.
After the game, running back Saquon Barkley and wide receiver A.J. Brown gave some thoughts on the matter.

"This game was weird, it was different, it felt weird out there," Barkley said. "I just think we gotta do a better job of keeping drives going, and that's kind of like the biggest takeaway I take from this game. That's something we have to address and get better at."
Barkley also added: "I just think we gotta do a better job of keeping drives going. That's kind of the biggest takeaway I take from this game. That's something we have to address and have to get better at."
It's been a tough year for Barkley. After amassing 2,283 yards from scrimmage and 15 touchdowns en route to Associated Press Offensive Player of the Year honors in 2024, Barkley has seen his yards per carry drop from 5.7 to 3.7 this season.
Brown had a quiet year leading into the game (46 receptions, 567 yards, four touchdowns), but he dominated this one (10 catches, 132 yards, two touchdowns). He offered some postgame insight.
Last year, the Eagles averaged 27.2 points, which was seventh in the league. Their 5.6 yards per play ranked 11th. This year, Philadelphia entered Week 13 scoring 23.2 points per game (18th) with 5.2 yards per play (21st).
Despite the offensive struggles, the Eagles opened the year 8-2 and were beating the Dallas Cowboys 21-0 last week.
Since that point, Philadelphia has been out-scored 48-15. Dallas scored 24 unanswered points to end the game for a 24-21 win.
Now the Bears rolled into town and largely shut down the offense save for Brown's outing. Barkley had a relatively quiet game with 56 rushing yards on 13 carries.
Alarms are certainly sounding at this point, especially with the two-game losing streak. Philadelphia's NFC East lead has also been trimmed to a game-and-a-half over the 6-5-1 Cowboys.
The Eagles now have 10 days to go back to the drawing board before encountering another tough opponent, the 7-4 Los Angeles Chargers, on the road on Monday, Dec. 8.
