Derrick Henry Passes Jim Brown on Rushing List, What Other NFL History Did RB Make?

Timothy RappNov 27, 2025

Derrick Henry got off to quite the start in Thursday night's Thanksgiving matchup against the Cincinnati Bengals.

Not only did he rumble for a 28-yard touchdown on Baltimore's opening offensive drive, he also matched LaDainian Tomlinson's mark for consecutive seasons with double-digit rushing touchdowns. Oh, and in the process, he also passed the legendary Jim Brown on the all-time rushing list, moving to 11th place.

Henry is well on his way to a seventh 1,000-yard rushing season in the last eight years, though he isn't going to match last season's absurd output (1,921 yards, 16 touchdowns). Baltimore, in general, got off to a sluggish start this season, with injuries playing a major role, but came into Thursday on a five-game winning streak.

In the process, the team went from a 1-5 start to remarkably sitting atop the AFC North, aided by the Pittsburgh Steelers losing four of their past six games. The two rivals will face off in Weeks 14 and 18.

Whether or not the Steelers can slow down Henry will play a major role in how the division is decided. One way or another, it's a safe bet that he'll continue making his mark in the record book.
