What Is Drake London's Timeline for Injury Return? Falcons HC Gives Update on Week 13
Atlanta Falcons head coach Raheem Morris described wide receiver Drake London as "doubtful" for Sunday's game against the New York Jets.
London was sidelined for Atlanta's 24-10 win over the New Orleans Saints because of a PCL injury in his left knee. Morris said the fourth-year wideout is making progress but doesn't want to rush him back onto the field:
London is the team leader in the three major receiving categories. He has caught 60 passes for 810 yards and six touchdowns, and his 90.0 yards per game are the fourth-most in the NFL.
While they came out on top, the Falcons clearly missed London in the passing game against New Orleans. Kirk Cousins threw for just 199 yards, and the offense's 302 total yards were below its season average (329.7).
Despite their 2-9 record, the Jets could be another tricky matchup for Cousins, who took over as the starter after Michael Penix Jr.'s season-ending ACL injury. New York is allowing 193.7 yards per game through the air, though it has the only defense that's yet to intercept a pass.
The Falcons still have a path to the playoffs thanks to the NFC South's mediocrity. At 4-7, they're just two games back of the first-place Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
With Week 13 seemingly off the table, Atlanta will hope London gets the green light to suit up for a big game against the Seattle Seahawks on Dec. 7.
