NFL Playoff Picture Week 13, Bracket Scenarios and Latest AFC, NFC Standings

Kristopher KnoxNov 26, 2025

Week 13 will begin with a trio of Thanksgiving games, all of which will carry potential playoff implications.

The Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions will kick off Thursday's action before the Dallas Cowboys host the Kansas City Chiefs. The Baltimore Ravens and Cincinnati Bengals will then do battle in the nightcap.

The rest of the Week 13 schedule will be important as well, especially with all 32 teams in action. Let's take a look at where every team stands heading into the holiday weekend and what might transpire in the coming days.

No teams can clinch a playoff spot this week, and only the New York Giants have been eliminated. However, the Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Jets, New Orleans Saints, Tennessee Titans and Washington Commanders can all be eliminated this week as well.

Tennessee is the only team that can be mathematically eliminated with a loss alone. Full elimination scenarios can be found at nflplayoffscenarios.com.

While no teams can be eliminated over the next two days, the Thursday/Friday slate has plenty at stake.

The Chicago Bears, who will face the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday, need a win to stay atop the NFC North. The winner of Thursday's Lions-Packers game will take over the top spot in the division if the Bears fall short against Philly.

If the Bears win, the loser of the Lions-Packers matchup will fall out of wild-card positioning. The Packers currently hold the No. 6 seed, while the Lions are on the outside looking in. All three NFC North contenders could be in position to make the playoffs, though, if the San Francisco 49ers also lose to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday.

The Chiefs and Cowboys are both on the outside looking in but are firmly in the playoff picture. Getting a win on Thursday will be critical for both teams.

The Ravens, meanwhile, own the divisional-record tiebreaker over the Pittsburgh Steelers, which puts them atop the division. However, they need a win over Cincinnati to maintain that top spot.

The Bengals are still alive in the AFC North race, even at 3-8. However, a loss and a Steelers win will knock them out of divisional contention. Unsurprisingly, Cincinnati has decided that now is the right time for Joe Burrow to make his return.

"It's a division rivalry," Burrow told reporters about his return. "It's intense out there, something I wanted to be out there for."

While the Eagles aren't in danger of losing the top spot in the NFC East on Friday, a win could be huge for them. Should the Los Angeles Rams happen to lose to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday, the Eagles and Bears will both have a chance to slide into the NFC's No. 1 seed.
