USA Hockey Unveils New Uniforms for 2026 Winter Olympics In Video, Photos

USA Hockey revealed a first look Wednesday at the national team's hockey uniforms for the 2026 Milan Cortina Olympics and Paralympics.

The women's Olympic hockey tournament runs from Feb. 5 to Feb. 19, while the men's Olympic hockey tournament takes place from Feb. 11 to Feb. 22.

The Paralympic hockey tournament will take place from March 7 to March 15.

The uniforms come in blue with red letters, with an away variant featuring blue letters on a white background.

The diagonal letters across the uniforms were inspired by the jerseys worn by Team USA during the 1960 Rome Olympics, according to USA Hockey.

The 1960 U.S. men's team defeated Team Canada to win the first Olympic gold medal in program history.

That stands today as one of two gold Olympic medals won by U.S. men's hockey, joining the "Miracle on Ice" win in 1980.

The U.S. women's team has also won two gold medals, taking home their first win during the inaugural women's tournament at the 1998 Nagano Games and winning again at the 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea.

The new jerseys feature a gold accent around the USA Hockey logo, which the program described as "a nod to Team USA's success on the world stage."

The uniforms also feature the words "LAND OF THE FREE HOME OF THE BRAVE" inside the collar.

The 2026 Olympics mark the first time since the 2014 Sochi Games the NHL will allow active players to participate in the tournament.

The U.S. men's team has already named five players to the Olympic roster in the Vegas Golden Knights' Jack Eichel, Toronto Maple Leafs' Auston Matthews, Florida Panthers' Matthew Tkachuk, Vancouver Canucks' Quinn Hughes and Boston Bruins' Charlie McAvoy.

The women's team has yet to officially name its roster, although four-time Olympic medalist Hilary Knight was featured in USA Hockey's jersey promotion photos.

Both the women's and men's teams are expected to unveil their full rosters by early January.
