Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes Signs Adidas Contract Extension, Includes QB's Own Golf Line

Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes will debut a new golf line as part of a multi-year extension with adidas, according to a Wednesday press release.

Mahomes has worked with Adidas since before his rookie NFL season in 2017.

His contract with adidas started out as a "standard rookie footwear and apparel endorsement deal," per Andscape's Aaron Dodson, and led to the release of his first signature shoe in 2021.

That shoe was updated with the release of the Mahomes 2 in February 2024.

Mahomes will "continue to serve as a global face of adidas" going forward, according to the brand.

The quarterback previously played a role in adidas launching a 10-year partnership with his former school, Texas Tech, in summer 2024.

That partnership was announced alongside a co-branded apparel line featuring Mahomes' gladiator mask logo.

Mahomes was earning an estimated $28 million from endorsement deals this year prior to his latest extension, according to Forbes.

The quarterback is playing in the fourth year of the 10-year, $450 million deal he signed with his team ahead of the 2020 season. He has made an estimated $232 million in career earnings through 2025, per Spotrac.

Mahomes helped the Chiefs improve to 6-5 and keep their playoff hopes alive with a Week 12 win over the Indianapolis Colts.

Wins over the Houston Texans in Week 14 and Los Angeles Chargers in Week 15 would help the Super Bowl LIX runners-up stay in the running for an AFC playoff spot.
