Aaron Rodgers Has How Many Fractures in Wrist Injury? Latest Rumors on Steelers QB

Timothy RappNov 30, 2025

Pittsburgh Steelers veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers is suffering from "at least three" different minor fractures in his left wrist, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Rapoport reported Rodgers still intends to play Sunday against the Buffalo Bills because none of the fractures is displaced, and he can manage the pain.

The injury sidelined the 41-year-old for Week 12's 31-28 loss against the Chicago Bears, though head coach Mike Tomlin expressed optimism after the game that his quarterback wouldn't miss additional time.

"Aaron, obviously, worked his tail off to get to us last week," he told reporters. "But as I mentioned over the course of the weekend, it was the prudent and appropriate decision [to sit him]. We'll start this week with great optimism, although we certainly will limit him in the early portions of the week, provide opportunities for the other quarterbacks while preserving him. But, again, we're comfortable with the general trajectory."

When healthy Rodgers has thrown for 1,969 yards, 19 touchdowns and seven interceptions, completing 66.4 percent of his passes while taking 19 sacks. The Steelers are now 6-5 on the season and fighting for both the AFC North crown and a playoff berth.

An unavailable Rodgers would mean the Steelers turn to Mason Rudolph, who was 1-4 as the starter for the Tennessee Titans in 2024 and lost against the Bears this season in Week 12. It's hardly ideal, in other words, so Pittsburgh will want to avoid that scenario at all costs during the stretch run.
