How Did Kirk Cousins Play in 1st Start for Falcons Since Penix Injury? Fans Weigh In
Kirk Cousins is once again the starting quarterback for the Atlanta Falcons.
After Michael Penix Jr.'s season-ending surgery, Cousins took over under center and got his first start of the season on Sunday. He helped the Falcons to a 24-10 win over their divisional rival in his first start since last December.
It wasn't exactly a game to remember, but he did enough, throwing for 199 yards, a pair of touchdowns and an interception on 16-of-23 passing.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
While it was far from the best game of his career, Falcons fans were just happy to see Cousins lead them to a win.
The Falcons had high hopes when they signed Cousins in 2024, and he ultimately didn't live up to those expectations and was benched in December. He'll now have the rest of the season to prove he's capable of being a starting quarterback in the NFL, but he'll need to do more than he did on Sunday.
The win helped Atlanta improve to 4-7, but its playoff chances are still slim to none.
