Giants' Jameis Winston Reveals Gif Russell Wilson Texted Him After TD vs. Lions

Russell Wilson may be serving as a backup to quarterback Jameis Winston, but he's still clearly supportive of him.

After the New York Giants came up short against the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Winston revealed that Wilson sent him a Heisman GIF during his touchdown reception.

"Russell Wilson sent me a picture of doing the Heisman in a little GIF, I think it's called a GIF," Winston said. "And I did the Heisman when we got in the endzone. We just didn't win, guys. We gotta win."

Despite the loss, Winston had a tremendous day, throwing for 366 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also flexed his versatility, hauling in a touchdown reception.

Winston, the 2013 Heisman Trophy winner at Florida State, looked like the best version of himself on Sunday. If he can string a few more strong outings together before the end of the year, he could earn a starting job when he hits free agency this offseason.
