Taylyn Hadley Nov 23, 2025

Caleb Williams threw three touchdown passes in the Chicago Bears' 31-28 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers, who were without Aaron Rodgers on Sunday.

Mason Rudolph started in place of Rodgers, who is out with a fractured left wrist, per ESPN's Brooke Pryor.

With the home victory, the Bears improved to 8-3 to solidify their first-place standing in the NFC North over the Green Bay Packers. The Steelers fell to 6-5, allowing Baltimore to creep back into the AFC North race.

Williams threw for 239 yards to earn his three touchdowns while completing 19-of-35 passes and added 21 rushing yards. He connected with DJ Moore for two scores and Colston Loveland for another, while Kyle Monangai added a rushing touchdown.

Williams' three-touchdown performance and Chicago's big win had fans buzzing on Sunday.

Pittsburgh led 21-17 at halftime after a chaotic first half that featured back-to-back eye-brow raising Chicago fumbles, a Steelers interception and a flurry of explosive plays on both sides.

The Bears battled back in the third quarter to take a 24-21 lead, and the teams traded quick touchdowns to open the fourth, pushing the score to 31-28, Chicago.

Down the stretch, the Steelers mounted a late comeback attempt, but Chicago's defense delivered in the clutch with a fourth-and-six stop with 20 seconds remaining to seal the win.

The Bears will hit the road for a short-week matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday.
