Colorado head coach Deion Sanders is indeed attending Sunday's matchup between the Cleveland Browns and Las Vegas Raiders for his son Shedeur Sanders' first NFL start.

The younger Sanders is getting his first NFL start against the Raiders, with Dillon Gabriel recovering from a concussion suffered last weekend.

Sanders came on in relief duty during the second half of Sunday's 23-16 loss against the Baltimore Ravens, finishing just 4-of-16 for 47 yards with an interception, a fumble (recovered by Cleveland) and two sacks taken. It wasn't a great first showing from the rookie.

Granted, Sanders hasn't had any practice time with the first-team offense and the game plan wasn't constructed toward his strengths, so Sunday should offer a better sense of his potential.

"You want to make sure that all the concepts are things that he feels confident in," head coach Kevin Stefanski told reporters this week about constructing a game plan geared at Sanders. "Obviously having been around him over the months, you get a good sense of the things that fit his eyes, so to speak. So definitely want to lean into those types of things and he's working very hard."

As for the elder Sanders, it was unclear if he would be in attendance a day after Colorado was blown out by Arizona State, 42-17, dropping to 3-8 on the season. The first year without Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter in Boulder hasn't gone to plan.
