Katie Katro and Briana Smith of ABC 6 Philadelphia noted Frans and Oeser received quite the keepsake for winning the marathon.
This year's champions were given golden olive wreaths that were handcrafted in Marathon, Greece.
Katro and Smith also reported the marathon was expected to draw more than 36,000 runners during the four different events over the course of the weekend. There was a half-marathon and 8K race on Saturday before Sunday's marathon and kids run.
The race was expected to welcome participants from 60 different countries.
