NFL Insider Reveals Which 2 Coaches Chiefs' Patrick Mahomes, Andy Reid 'Hate Facing'
There aren't many opposing coaches who have caused the Kansas City Chiefs problems since Andy Reid made Patrick Mahomes the starting quarterback in 2018, but there are two names in particular that cause both of them headaches.
Per The Athletic's Dianna Russini, Reid and Mahomes have told people around the NFL the two coaches they "hate facing" are Lou Anarumo and Mike Vrabel.
Among teams that Mahomes has faced at least three times in his career, only three have winning records against him. The Buffalo Bills have had the most success with a 5-1 record, followed by the Philadelphia Eagles (2-1) and Tennessee Titans (2-1).

Vrabel was the coach of the Titans for each of those three games. He won the first two in the 2019 and '21 seasons. The latter win saw Tennessee hold the Chiefs to their lowest point total in a game started by Mahomes (three).
Anarumo, who is currently the defensive coordinator for the Indianapolis Colts, was a key figure in some of the changes that Kansas City's offense has undergone in recent years from his time with the Cincinnati Bengals.
The 2021 AFC Championship Game, in particular, may have been the crowning achievement of Anarumo's career. After the Bengals fell behind 21-3 to the Chiefs in the first half, he completed adjusted how his defense was operating in an attempt to contain Mahomes.
Cincinnati rushed three and dropped on 12 of Mahomes' 24 dropbacks in the second half. He went 3-of-8 for 15 yards and was sacked four times on those plays. The Bengals went on to win 27-24 in overtime to clinch a berth in Super Bowl 56.
Mahomes admitted the following year when the Chiefs got back to the Super Bowl by defeating Cincinnati in the AFC Championship Game rematch that the 2021 loss impacted how he prepared and approached defenses.
Anarumo will have the chance to work his magic against Mahomes, Reid and the Chiefs again on Sunday when the Colts visit Arrowhead Stadium.
Kansas City will be playing with a level of desperation that is very unusual for this franchise because it is currently 5-5 and in danger of falling under .500 this late in a season since 2012 when it finished 2-14.
