Will Raheem Morris Be Fired By Falcons? Latest NFL Rumors Amid 5-Game Losing Streak
In the midst of a disastrous season for the Atlanta Falcons, head coach Raheem Morris' future with the organization is a hot topic of discussion around the NFL.
Per CBS Sports' Jonathan Jones, Morris is among several people within the Falcons organization who can "feel their seats warming" with no one guaranteed anything heading into the final six games of the regular season.
Jones did note that Falcons owner Arthur Blank is regarded as one of the more patient team owners in the league and could retain Morris if the club has a strong finish to the season.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Falcons are in free-fall right now having lost five straight games after a 3-2 start to the season. They have the sixth-worst offense in the league by points per game (19.5), and the defense has allowed at least 24 points in each of the last four games.
In addition to the poor results on the field, the Falcons will turn to Kirk Cousins at quarterback for the remainder of the season with Michael Penix Jr. set to undergo surgery to repair a partially torn ACL.
Some of the issues with the Falcons can be tied more directly to general manager Terry Fontenot than to Morris. The decision to draft Penix with the eighth overall pick after signing Cousins was baffling at the time. It doesn't look any better now given Cousins' late-season decline in 2024 that resulted in his benching and Penix being out with another significant injury to one of his knees.
Fontenot also made arguably the worst move in this year's draft when he traded three picks, including a 2026 first-round selection that currently sits at No. 8 overall, to the Los Angeles Rams for picks No. 26 and 101 in 2025.
Atlanta used the 26th pick on James Pearce Jr., who has 2.5 sacks in 11 games as a rookie.
Morris is 11-16 as Falcons head coach since the start of the 2024 season. They are on track to post their eighth consecutive season with a losing record, which would tie the longest streak in franchise history (1983 to '90).
The schedule is set up for the Falcons to potentially turn things around if they can take advantage of it. Four of their final seven games are against teams currently under .500, including the next two weeks against the New Orleans Saints and New York Jets.
