Jayden Reed Says He Can Bring 'Juice' to Packers, 'If You Juiceless, You Useless'

Zach BacharNov 21, 2025

Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed is looking forward to providing a boost to the team's offense once he's able to suit up again.

"I think I'm definitely a piece that can help the team, man," Reed told reporters Friday. "I just hound myself on bringing juice, so I always say if you juiceless, you useless. Whether you're on the field or off the field just bringing juice, bringing energy with your team. I'm just one of those guys."

The third-year receiver was ruled out of Green Bay's clash with the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, marking his ninth consecutive game missed after he underwent surgery on a broken clavicle and a Jones fracture in his left foot on Sept. 17.

Reed appears to be making progress in his recovery, though. He returned to practice as a limited participant on Friday, his first session since undergoing surgery.

"It felt great just to go back out there with the guys and be able to fly around again," Reed said after practicing, per Mike Spofford of the team's official website. "Everything feels great right now. I'm just following the protocol and just waiting for my number to be called.

"I don't know when I'll be back. Hopefully, it's soon."

Reed quickly established himself as one of Jordan Love's top targets after the Packers selected him with a second-round pick in the 2023 NFL draft, reeling in 119 catches for 1,650 yards and 14 touchdowns across his first two seasons.

In a pair of appearances prior to the surgery this year, he caught three of his five targets for 45 yards and a touchdown.

While the Packers are once again in the NFC playoff picture with a 6-3-1 record, their offense hasn't been as potent compared to past years. Green Bay went from averaging 27.1 points per game in 2024 to 24.0 points on a weekly basis in 2025.

The Packers could also use more weapons in their passing attack after tight end Tucker Kraft suffered a season-ending torn ACL in Week 9.

With Reed out against Minnesota, his next opportunity to play will come when Green Bay travels to face the Detroit Lions on Thursday at 1 p.m. ET.
