Joe Burrow Listed As Questionable, Unconfirmed If He'll Play
Joe Burrow is officially listed as questionable, but that doesn't mean he will play.
The Bengals will make the determination on Saturday if Burrow is healthy enough to return on Sunday to face the AFC East-leading New England Patriots.
Burrow's return is obviously a huge fantasy football storyline. He could put a charge into the Bengals offense that adds to the stat lines of Ja'Marr Chase, Tee Higgins and others.
However, there is no guarantee Burrow immediately returns to his old form. After all, he's coming back from a months-long layoff after only playing twice in September.
The version of Burrow we all want to see likely won't re-emerge for a few more weeks, but it'll happen right as the fantasy football playoffs begin.
Chase and Higgins would get an obvious uptick in production, but if Burrow is throwing the ball more, Noah Fant and Mike Gesicki would be worth pickups as tight ends if the matchup is right.
Cincinnati has four tough matchups ahead, starting with Sunday's game against the Patriots. It plays the Baltimore Ravens twice and the Buffalo Bills in between.
Burrow could very well thrive against those teams at full strength, but we'll have to see which version of the star quarterback shows up, whether it be Sunday or in Week 13.
Josh Jacobs Questionable For NFC North Clash With Minnesota
Josh Jacobs might not miss any time because of the knee injury he suffered in Week 11.
Jacobs was hurt at MetLife Stadium, which led some fantasy players to fear the worst.
Jacobs is only listed as questionable, though, for Sunday's clash against the Minnesota Vikings. That likely means he will play.
Emanuel Wilson was one of the most popular waiver-wire pickups after Sunday, but his time on fantasy rosters may be short-lived. Jacobs takes up most of the volume in the Green Bay rushing attack when healthy.
The matchup with Minnesota could be favorable for Jacobs. The Vikings allowed over 100 rushing yards in three of their last four games.
If you're hesitant about Jacobs' injury, Zach Charbonnet is worth a waiver-wire look now that Kenneth Walker III is on the injury report in Seattle.
Pittsburgh's Kenneth Gainwell and Tampa Bay's Sean Tucker are among the other top waiver-wire pickups, if you want to wait a week to start Jacobs.
