Ethyn Ewing Returns to Construction Job in TikTok Video After Win at UFC 322

Despite winning his UFC debut last Saturday at UFC 322, Ethyn Ewing isn't getting too far ahead of himself.

Ewing was seen back at his construction job in a TikTok video, just days after he scored a huge upset win over Malcolm Wellmaker by unanimous decision on the preliminary card.

Ewing explained his day job in his UFC.com bio, stating, "I'm currently a safety professional for the construction industry. My father and I have our own safety business as well Occusafe Network. Before then I served at many different restaurants with my last being Club 33 in Disneyland."

It's safe to assume that Ewing won't be working construction for too much longer, especially after his impressive showing in his first time stepping into the Octagon. He had fought recently on the independent circuit before getting the call from the UFC to be Wellmaker's replacement opponent just two days before UFC 322.

Wellmaker was a rising prospect coming off of back-to-back first-round knockout victories, so many expected him to breeze through Ewing. However, it was Ewing who rose to the occasion and did enough to earn the win in the eyes of the cageside judges, even earning a 30-27 on one of the three scorecards while the other two were scored 29-28 in his favor.

Following Saturday's win, Ewing likely will be set up for another showcase fight when he returns to the Octagon. As his star power continues to rise, he should be able to leave his construction job behind and focus on MMA full-time.
