What is Stefon Diggs' Status After Patriots WR Reveals He's Playing Through Injury?
New England Patriots wideout Stefon Diggs revealed Wednesday that he's been playing through a broken finger for a few weeks.
"I broke my finger, like, a couple weeks ago, so I was just telling [Drake Maye], 'Hey, I love the way you throw the ball,'" he told reporters. "Just because he has that touch. I mean, I got nothing against you putting a little mustard here or there, to fit it in the hole."

As for whether it might cost him any time going forward, Diggs didn't seem overly concerned.
"Don't worry about it," when asked about playing through it. "It's the least of my worries."
The 31-year-old Diggs signed a three-year, $63.5 million deal with the Patriots in the offseason, as the team looked to bolster its options in the passing game for Maye. That has proven to be a wise decision, with Diggs having a solid season, reeling in 59 catches on 72 targets for 659 yards and three touchdowns.
He leads the team in receptions, targets and receiving yards and is tied for third on the squad in receiving scores.
The team's revitalized offense under new head coach Mike Vrabel and returning offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels has been a big reason why the Pats went from a 4-13 record last year to 9-2 this year. New England currently holds a 1.5-game lead over the Buffalo Bills in the AFC East.
The Patriots haven't won their division since 2019 and only reached the playoffs once in the previous five seasons. Both trends look like they are coming to an end in 2025.
And the Diggs' acquisition has been a part of that sea change. The star wideout told reporters Wednesday it was a group effort convincing him to join the Pats.
"I feel like it was like a conglomerate," Diggs said. "Young quarterback who showed some promise, showed some skill set, can throw the ball, is mobile being young. But then also McDaniels. He's been around the game for a long time. Homecoming for him. He's called a lot of great plays here. And then Vrabel. So it was a group effort with everybody for me personally."
