Giants' Cam Skattebo Calls Out Critics After Viral Video on WWE Raw amid Injury Rehab
New York Giants running back Cam Skattebo has come under some criticism for appearing at WWE Raw and engaging in what was clearly a staged brawl with a number of the promotion's stars despite recovering from a season-ending ankle dislocation, open tibia fracture and ruptured deltoid ligament.
On Tuesday, he responded to those critiques.

Super Bowl champ calls out former team
"Aye, honestly if you don't like that I'm having a good time while dealing with a tough time, then just go ahead and unfollow and casually move on," he wrote on social media. "I'm not able to play football and have the fun I've been having my whole life so I am doing things outside the box trying to find stuff to keep me happy. Enjoy the rest of y'all's week and just don't talk about me if you ain't got nothing nice to say."
One person who did not seem to take issue with Skattebo's appearance was New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson:
While some of the criticism of Skattebo is out of hand, you could understand if Giants' coaches and executives might have winced a bit seeing the video, staged or not. Skattebo's injury was a severe one, and any sort of physicality—even acted out for a staged WWE spot—presents some level of risk. The last thing anybody in the organization wants is a complication that affects his ability to return in 2026.
The 23-year-old was having a fantastic rookie season before suffering his injury in late October, rushing for 410 yards and five scores in eight games while adding 24 catches for 207 yards and another two touchdowns. He added a level of physicality and excitement to New York's offense.
It appears the Giants have some young playmakers to build around on the offensive side of the ball, highlighted by rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart, wideout Malik Nabers and Skattebo. Injuries haven't been kind to any of them, however, with Nabers done for the season after tearing his ACL and Dart missing Sunday's loss against the Green Bay Packers while remaining in the concussion protocol.
In Skattebo's absence, the Giants have turned to the duo of Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Devin Singletary. The pair rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns against the Packers on 35 carries, albeit in a 27-20 loss.
