AJ Lee, Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa, Charlotte Win at WWE Survivor Series WarGames

The team of Rhea Ripley, Iyo Sky, Alexa Bliss, Charlotte Flair and AJ Lee defeated Asuka, Kairi Sane, Nia Jax, Lash Legend and Becky Lynch in a women's WarGames match at WWE Survivor Series on Saturday.

Lynch was left alone for the heels after Sky took out her teammates with a swanton inside a trash can from the top of the cage.

Lee then locked in her Black Widow submission to force The Man to tap out.

A rivalry pitting Ripley and Sky against The Kabuki Warriors was at the root of what came to be Saturday's contest.

Asuka and Kairi turned their backs on Iyo after she was sympathetic toward Rhea, leading to a tag team match between the duos that Ripley and Sky won at Crown Jewel in Australia.

The Kabuki Warriors later took credit for The Eradicator suffering a broken nose, which temporarily kept her out of action. While she was away, Asuka and Sane turned their attention toward Bliss, Flair and the WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

Asuka and Kairi beat Alexa and Charlotte for the titles on the Nov. 10 episode of Raw thanks to interference from Jax and Legend, who had just formed an alliance against Bliss and Flair on the previous SmackDown.

The villainous quartet attacked Alexa and Charlotte after the match, prompting Ripley and Sky to return to WWE programming by running off the heels.

Rhea then declared that the two sides would do battle in WarGames, but there were still two participants left to be added.

One week later on Raw, Lee appeared for the first time since Wrestlepalooza when she and CM Punk beat Lynch and Seth Rollins. Lee distracted Lynch during her Women's Intercontinental Championship match against Maxxine Dupri, allowing Dupri to pull off the shocking victory.

Later in the show, AJ encountered Rhea backstage, and the Australian told her she wanted to have a talk, presumably about WarGames.

Given Lee cost Lynch her title, it came as little surprise when The Man decided to counteract AJ by joining the opposing WarGames team.

By virtue of their victory, Ripley, Sky, Bliss, Flair and Lee all gained some measure of revenge, and they now have momentum on their side heading toward Royal Rumble.
