Police Say Shedeur Sanders Had $200K in Property Stolen in Burglary Caught on Video

Medina County police said Tuesday that three suspects were caught on surveillance cameras burglarizing the home of Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders on Sunday.

Police said the burglary occurred at 6:46 p.m. ET on Sunday and lasted 12 minutes. The suspects left with an estimated $200,000 in stolen property.

The burglary occurred during the Browns' 23-16 home loss to the Baltimore Ravens. Sanders saw the first NFL regular-season game action of his career in the contest.

Fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel started Sunday's game for the Browns, but when he left the game after entering concussion protocol, Sanders played the entire second half.

Sanders, a fifth-round pick out of Colorado, largely struggled in his NFL debut, going 4-of-16 for 47 yards with no touchdowns and one interception, while also getting sacked twice.

After being named Big 12 Offensive Player of the Year and finishing eighth in Heisman Trophy voting last season, Sanders was widely expected to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL draft.

He was even in the discussion as the No. 1 quarterback in the class when the predraft process began, but Sanders shockingly fell to Day 3 and wasn't taken until No. 144 overall.

The son of Pro Football Hall of Fame cornerback Deion Sanders landed in a solid situation, though, as the Browns did not have a clear answer at quarterback.

He was one of four quarterbacks on the roster for most of training camp and the preseason, but the Browns traded Kenny Pickett before the season started and then traded Joe Flacco during the season.

That left Gabriel and Sanders as the last men standing in the quarterback competition, and Sanders got his first taste of regular-season playing time on Sunday.

Per Cleveland.com's Mary Kay Cabot, Sanders is in line to make his first career start Sunday against the Las Vegas Raiders "barring something unexpected."

As for the burglary, police said they are in the process of investigating it, and no arrests had been made as of Tuesday.
