Geno Smith Takes Blame for Raiders' Offensive Woes vs. Cowboys, 'Got to Play Better'
After yet another lackluster offensive performance by the Las Vegas Raiders in Monday night's 33-16 loss to the Dallas Cowboys, veteran quarterback Geno Smith is accepting responsibility for the team's struggles.
While speaking to reporters after the game, Smith shouldered the blame for the Raiders' offensive woes as their losing streak extended to four straight games.
"You guys watch the film, I know we've got a lot of Monday morning quarterbacks who like to watch film and take screenshots and see where guys were open, so I'm sure you guys will see where the guys were open," Smith said, per Kevin Patra of NFL.com. "I've just got to play better. I keep saying this. If something don't look right out there, blame it on me. If it don't look right, blame it on me. That's all you can do, blame it on me. If your kids mess up at school, blame it on me. Car break down on the way to work? Blame it on me."

Smith completed 27 of his 42 passes for 238 yards, a touchdown and an interception while sustaining four sacks in the loss. He now leads the league with 13 interceptions. The Raiders didn't reach the end zone until the fourth quarter, and this marked the third time in their last four games that they failed to reach the 20-point mark.
At 2-8, Las Vegas could be looking at another rebuild year if things don't improve quickly. Any continued struggles could lead to major changes over the offseason.
The Raiders will try to end their skid when they host the Cleveland Browns (2-8) on Sunday.
