What is the Timeline for Lane Johnson's Return to Eagles After Reported Foot Injury?
Philadelphia Eagles star offensive tackle Lane Johnson is expected to miss four to six weeks with a Lisfranc sprain in his foot, according to Mike Garafolo and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network.
The "hope" is that the injury doesn't end his season, per that report, though it very well could result in a stint on injured reserve.
Johnson posted the following in the wake of the news:

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
It's rough break for an Eagles offense that has been surprisingly inconsistent all season and has really struggled since the Week 9 bye, with just 26 points in their last two games. The Eagles still won both of those contests over the Green Bay Packers and Detroit Lions, buoyed by a swarming defense, but the offense's woes have grown concerning.
Playing without Johnson in the past has rarely gone well for the Birds. The team's record with him in the lineup since the start of the 2016 season is 96-41-1. Without him in that time, they are just 12-23.
The 35-year-old is a six-time Pro Bowler, two-time first-team All-Pro and two-time champion. Pro Football Focus ranked him as the No. 18 player in all of football last year, noting that he was "one of just three offensive linemen in 2024 to earn at least an 85.0 grade in both run blocking and pass protection. He didn't allow a sack through his first 18 games before surrendering one in the fourth quarter of the Super Bowl against Kansas City. Incredibly, the future Hall of Famer recorded a career-best 88.9 overall grade at age 34, proving that he remains one of the best in the game when healthy."
Injuries have been a major concern for both him and the rest of the offensive line this year, however. He's left multiple games with issues, while both Landon Dickerson and Cam Jurgens have been regular entries on the injury report this season.
The one bit of good news for the Eagles is that swing tackle Fred Johnson has been very solid when called upon, so the Birds won't be in disarray at right tackle. But it's yet another blow for an offense that can't seem to find its footing this season.
