And while the offense had a relatively quiet night, it was the Eagles' defense that stole the spotlight and carried Philadelphia to the win.
Fans praised the Eagles defense for keeping Philadelphia afloat and helping secure the win.
Jared Goff finished with 255 yards, one touchdown and one interception, completing 14-of-37 passes. Jahmyr Gibbs added 39 yards on 12 carries and 107 receiving yards, while Jameson Williamson caught Detroit's lone touchdown.
The Lions' lone touchdown came on a second-quarter score, but a missed extra point left them stuck at six points at the half. Meanwhile, the Eagles notched two field goals and a touchdown to take a 13-6 lead while also forcing a Lions interception.
The third quarter became a defensive clinic for Philadelphia, as Detroit turned it over on downs on all three of its possessions, giving the Lions five total through three quarters.
A fourth-quarter field goal extended the Eagles' lead, and their defense continued to stifle Detroit to secure the victory.
Philadelphia will hit the road to face Dallas next Sunday.
