Waiver Wire: Michael Wilson, WR, Arizona Cardinals
2 of 3.jpg)
Cardinals fans and fantasy managers alike found out Sunday which wide receiver will be quarterback Jacoby Brissett's top target when Michael Wilson emerged from the pack, catching 15 balls for 185 yards.
Before that, the most the third-year player had caught in a single game this season was four.
With Marvin Harrison Jr. out for an undetermined amount of time after suffering appendicitis, Brissett and the Arizona offense will be looking for a receiver to step up. Much as he did in Week 11, look for Wilson to be that player.
He faces a Jacksonville Jaguars defense giving up the tenth-most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers this season, making him an intriguing start for managers in deeper leagues or those in need of wideout help in Week 12.
Stat Projections: 8 receptions, 75 yards, TD
Chris Rodriguez Jr., RB, Washington Commanders
3 of 3.jpg)
It is running back by committee in Washington and Chris Rodriguez Jr. appears to have leap-frogged Jacory Croskey-Merritt as the lead back for the Commanders.
Rodriguez carried 15 times for 79 yards in Washington's Week 11 loss to the Miami Dolphins.
The third-year player has an unfavorable match-up in Week 12 against the Denver Broncos, who are allowing the fourth-fewest fantasy points to opposing running backs. Still, the Commanders are in the midst of a terrible season given the lofty expectations set entering the year and will have to find ways to get the ball in their playmakers' hands.
Rodriguez may not be the most explosive back on the field, but he has been more consistent of late than the alternative, so do not be surprised if the Commanders find ways to get the ball into his hands.
The emerging running back is a worthy add or stash for managers in deeper leagues or in need of help at the position.
Projected Stats: 15 carries, 65 yards, 2 receptions, 15 yards
