What is Calvin Ridley's Long-Term Injury Status After Titans WR's Broken Leg Injury?

Andrew PetersNov 16, 2025

The Tennessee Titans will be without a key member of the offense for the remainder of the season.

Wide receiver Calvin Ridley suffered a broken fibula against the Houston Texans on Sunday and will miss the rest of the 2025 campaign.

Injuries have been an unfortunate theme for Ridley this season. He played the first five games of the year before suffering a hamstring injury just six snaps into Tennessee's Week 6 contest against the Las Vegas Raiders.

That injury forced him to miss the last three games against the New England Patriots, Indianapolis Colts and Los Angeles Chargers.

"I feel for him," Titans interim head coach Mike McCoy told reporters. "He worked so hard to get back to where he was, and then, obviously, that happened."

With injuries keeping him off the field for much of the year, Ridley has just 303 receiving yards on 17 receptions this season. Ridley showed flashes of his former self when he had 131 receiving yards against the Arizona Cardinals last week, but he wasn't able to keep up that kind of play consistently.

Ridley had recorded back-to-back seasons with 1,000 or more receiving yards, but that streak will now come to an end.

The 2025 season has been a forgettable one for both Ridley and the Titans. Tennessee is 1-9 following Sunday's loss to the Texans and has now lost five consecutive games.

Elic Ayomanor has been Cam Ward's favorite target this year, hauling in 28 receptions for 332 yards and two touchdowns, and he'll presumably get even more targets with Tennessee's No. 2 option out for the year.
