Are Rams Super Bowl Favorites? NFL Insider Says They're 'Primed' for Deep Playoff Run

Joseph ZuckerNov 15, 2025

The Los Angeles Rams "are primed for a Super Bowl" in the eyes of one AFC team official.

The same source also talked up the Seattle Seahawks in an interview with The Athletic's Dianna Russini. The official praised Seahawks head coach Mike Macdonald for firing offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb and hiring Klint Kubiak, who "has taken them to a new level."

The teams face off Sunday at SoFi Stadium, and it's a chance for the Rams to assert themselves as the squad to beat in the NFC.

Quarterback Matthew Stafford is in the midst of an MVP-caliber season. He's leading the league in touchdown passes (25) and passing yards per game (269.7). Running back Kyren Williams has gone for 659 yards and five touchdowns on the ground.

The Rams defense, meanwhile, is allowing the second-fewest points (17.0) and has forced 14 turnovers in nine games.

Los Angeles came up short against the reigning Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3. But the Rams out-gained the Eagles 356-288 and led by 19 points midway through the third quarter before fading badly down the stretch.

Considering how things are unfolding in the City of Brotherly Love, nobody would be shocked if L.A. prevailed in a playoff rematch.

After playing the Seahawks, the Rams have the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Carolina Panthers, who are also in the postseason hunt. Extending their winning streak to seven games would represent a massive statement.
