Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund Established by Cowboys to Support Pregnant Girlfriend

The Dallas Cowboys have established the Marshawn Kneeland Memorial Fund to support the late defensive end's pregnant girlfriend, Catalina, and their unborn child.

Cowboys head coach Brian Schottenheimer confirmed the news to reporters on Wednesday.

Kneeland died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound on Nov. 6, Frisco police announced in a statement.

The Cowboys are honoring Kneeland in numerous ways, according to ESPN's Todd Archer. Players will wear a helmet decal for the rest of the 2025 season as well as T-shirts during warm-ups over their next two games (at the Las Vegas Raiders on Nov. 17 and home versus the Philadelphia Eagles on Nov. 23).

In addition, Dallas is holding a moment of silence and video tribute for Kneeland prior to the Eagles matchup, which marks their first home matchup since he died.

Kneeland played at Western Michigan University before the Cowboys took him with the No. 56 overall pick in the second round of the 2024 draft. He played in 18 games over two seasons, including four starts, and he scored his first touchdown on Nov. 4 after recovering a blocked punt in the end zone against the Arizona Cardinals.
