While Harbaugh didn't offer much of an actual update, Herbert, who was sacked five times and took nine hits, confirmed that it wasn't anything serious.
"I just got rolled up. A little bit of pain but I thought we did a good job of talking about it on the sideline," Herbert said. "I came off and felt like I was safe and comfortable to go back out there."
Herbert didn't exit the game because of the injury and finished with 220 passing yards and a touchdown.
Herbert is having a tremendous season this year, posting 2,610 yards and 19 touchdowns along with 324 rushing yards and a score on the ground. Behind his fantastic play, the Chargers have started the year 7-3 and are in second place in the AFC West.
