MLB GMs Predict Kyle Tucker Signs Contract With Yankees, Dodgers or Blue Jays
Don't be surprised if the usual contenders are in the running for Kyle Tucker this winter.
According to Bob Nightengale of USA Today, "Tucker, a native of Tampa, will sign with the New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays or Los Angeles Dodgers, general managers predict. The San Francisco Giants are a darkhorse, but considering they still owe Rafael Devers $250 million, are in the second year of a seven-year, $182 million contract with Willy Adames and the second of a six-year, $151 million extension with Matt Chapman, there's only so many nine-figure contracts the Giants can seemingly afford."
Meanwhile, Patrick Mooney, Will Sammon, Katie Woo and Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic gave the Dodgers the best chance to sign Tucker after "speaking with officials from various organizations across the league," though they had the Yankees one tier behind them.

The Blue Jays, Giants, Boston Red Sox and New York Mets were in the third tier.
Tucker, 28, will be free agency's biggest prize. In 136 games for the Chicago Cubs this past season he hit 22 homers with 73 RBI, 91 runs, 25 stolen bases and a .841 OPS. It was a bit of a down season given his past pedigree, which includes two 30-homer seasons, two years with 100 or more RBI and six straight seasons with an OPS above .800 and two above .900.
