Will Brian Daboll Be Fired? Giants Insider Updates Latest Buzz After Loss to Bears
The New York Giants aren't operating like a team that intends to fire its head coach, according to ESPN's Jordan Raanan.
Raanan reported there's "nothing out of the ordinary so far" after New York's 24-20 loss to the Chicago Bears, its fourth in a row. That would seemingly lessen the likelihood that head coach Brian Daboll is shown the door:

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The rapid development of rookie quarterback Jaxson Dart might be helping to buy Daboll time despite the team's terrible overall record (2-8).
Through his first seven starts, the 2025 first-round pick has thrown for 1,417 yards, 10 touchdowns and three interceptions. This is coming from a player whom some thought would effectively redshirt his first year in the league.
For a lot of fans, that's not enough to cancel out the Giants' deficiencies in other areas of the field. Their inability to close out games is maddening as well. New York was up 10 points on the Bears midway through the fourth quarter and couldn't see the victory through to the end.
Anybody who has watched the Giants would be justified in asking whether Daboll is the right coach moving forward. We're into his fourth year at the helm and the organization is facing another reset.
Assuming Daboll is on the sideline for Week 11 against the Green Bay Packers, it may only be a case of delaying the inevitable. The status quo isn't working, and there's no evidence to support the idea that the coaching staff just needs more time for everything to click.
