Aaron Rodgers, Steelers Offense Ripped by NFL Fans in Loss to Justin Herbert, Chargers

Taylyn Hadley Nov 10, 2025

Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers fell on the road 25-10 Sunday to Justin Herbert and the Los Angeles Chargers after a game filled with offensive struggles.

The loss dropped Pittsburgh to 5–4 on the season, tightening the AFC North race, though Pittsburgh remains in first place. Meanwhile, the Chargers improved to 7–3 and extended their winning streak to three games as they continue to chase the first-place Denver Broncos in the AFC West.

Rodgers struggled in a tough outing, finishing with 161 yards, one touchdown and two interceptions on 16-of-31 completions. He connected with Roman Wilson for his lone score.

Meanwhile, Herbert threw for 220 yards and one touchdown while completing 20-of-33 passes, connecting with Ladd McConkey for a score and 107 yards. Kimani Vidal added a rushing touchdown and 95 yards on the ground.

The loss was defined by Rodgers and the Steelers' offensive struggles, managing 11 first downs, going 2-of-11 on third-down conversions.

It was a slow offensive first half for both teams, as the Steelers' first points came on a 59-yard field goal before the Chargers forced a safety on Rodgers in the end zone to make it 3-2 after 15 minutes.

Pittsburgh's struggles continued in the second quarter, missing a field goal on its opening drive and throwing an interception without adding to the scoreboard. The Chargers capitalized with a field goal and a late touchdown to take a 12-3 lead into halftime.

The only action in the third quarter came from the Chargers, who converted one of their two field goal attempts to extend their lead to 15–3.

The Chargers added 10 points in the fourth quarter, including an impressive recovery off a muffed punt to pull away and secure the 15-point home victory over the Steelers despite a late Steelers touchdown.

Herbert and the Chargers will hit the road to face Jacksonville next Sunday as the Steelers will host the Cincinnati Bengals.
